Music Ministry

Music plays a major part in the ministry of St. Paul’s.

From our Chancel Choir, Mission Bells, Music Discovery Choir, St. Paul’s Praise Team, piano/organ music or our congregational singing, music enhances the worship experience. It has been said that one should make a joyful noise unto the Lord and that is supported in the music that is woven into our weekly worship experience.

The Music Ministry is an important part of the total worship experience. We invite you to add your talents to this ministry by participating in the choirs or by adding your instrumental talent to the music
program.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is open to all teenagers and adults. Rehearsals take place in the music room on Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00pm during the months of September through May. There is an optional rehearsal each Thursday for Early Chancel Choir from 3:00-4:00. The choir works on music that enhances the worship experience. There are currently over 35 members in the Chancel Choir taught and directed by Anne Talcott and accompanied by Darin Brown. Missions Bell Choir

The Mission Bells are under the direction of Lisa Traughber. The handbell choir welcomes persons who are able to read music and wish to broaden their experience by ringing in the handbell choir. The Mission Bells play in church, often on the fourth Sunday of each month. It is a special treat to hear the resonance of the bells in the sanctuary as worship takes place. Music Discovery Choir

The Music Discovery Choir is open to all children from ages 5 through 14. They rehearse in the choir room on Thursdays from 6:00-6:20 September through May. The children sing a variety of styles with two part harmony in worship about once a month. The Music Discovery Choir is taught and directed by Anne Talcott and accompanied by Darin Brown.  

St. Paul’s Praise Team

The St. Paul’s Praise Team is a group made up of approximately twenty-five members. They lead the congregation two Sundays a month with their voices, guitars, drums, keyboard, flute and ukuleles. Anne Talcott teaches and directs this group who provide meaningful worship through uplifting and fun praise music. Please contact the office or Anne Talcott for the current rehearsal schedule. We usually rehearse on the second Saturday of the month and sing/play in worship the second and third Sundays. People of all ages are welcome to join the St. Paul’s Praise Team!

Summer Worship
