This group meets weekly in the Fireside Room. All are welcome to join in our discussion as we read and explore the current book. This class reads the book in class and then has some discussion time.

Please come and join in our Library us as we explore the Bible and discuss and maybe get some answers &/or insights as to some meanings of happenings or behaviors, relationships between people and between the people and God and how it all affects and relates to our lives now. On March 19, we started our study of Paul and will continue with Paul most likely through April, The next topic (book or person) will be updated here as soon as it is announced.

The church staff meets once a week in the office to review & discuss what’s been happening, what’s scheduled, any problems and how we can improve to make St. Paul’s a place for people to feel welcomed and included. They discuss the coming week(s) to make things flow as they should seek assistance from other team members if needed to make sure everything runs smoothly..
Alzheimer's / Dementia Support Group
The Alzheimer’s / Dementia support group meets on Thursdays from 2:00-3:30pm in the Fireside Room. You’re welcome to come and join, share, listen and get support for dealing with this difficult disease.
Music: Praise Team Rehearsal
This group is open to anyone who wants to join, to sing, play an instrument or both. Come join this fun group as they get prepared to worship with the congregation, usually, a couple of Sundays a month, providing the congregation with a more upbeat twist to the traditional hymns. We also have some non-traditional instruments joined in with this group so if you have something you’d like to bring and play, please come and join us! Rehearsals are in the Sanctuary.

This adult choir meets for rehearsals once a week to come together and tune up in order to make beautiful music for Sunday worship services. Come and join us! Child care is available.
Doorkeepers
An outdoor experience! This group meets in the gardens weekly on Friday mornings to keep our church grounds looking beautiful. They keep up with the many small (and some not-so-small) gardening maintenance tasks. If you love to rake, weed, prune, maybe tinker or just get your fingers in the dirt, we’d love to have you join us! Our group is getting older and can certainly use some younger energy from time to time. We’d appreciate any time you can devote to this. Even if you can join us just once a month or so.

Mothers' Day Brunch
Come and join as we celebrate all women…..mothers of all kinds….moms, step moms, pet moms (and any other kind you can name). There will be lots of fellowship, a brunch buffet and a photo area as well as an opportunity to build your own prayer garden. Tickets are $25. Contact Kristen 209-275-9144 or Kat 661-619-2208.

Food Pantry distribution
This is a monthly event taking place on the last Saturday of the month providing free food for local Manteca area residents in need. Just bring your ID and we ask that you please wear a mask. This is a drive through event where you don’t even need to get out of your car. (Please use the Powers Ave. driveway to enter the parking lot)

Family Promise Weeks
This is an opportunity for St. Paul’s to host from 1 to 4 families in our Fellowship Hall for a 2 week period as they work towards getting a home of their own. Our congregation, with assistance from other churches, provide shelter, meals, snacks and companionship during their stay with us.

Music: Music Discovery Choir Rehearsal (ages roughly 8ish - 14)
This will be this group’s last rehearsal until the fall.
These young voices of St. Paul’s UMC have a weekly 1 hour rehearsal which includes some singing and some beginning handbell instruction. (Adults interested in learning handbells are welcome to join). This group will usually sing during a church service once a month. Anne Talcott and Michelle and Darin Brown work so well with these kids to bring out their love for music. Rehearsal will be in the Music Room.

The Centering Prayer group has decided to break until fall. We should start up again in Sept. In the meantime, here’s some information about what Centering Prayer is. Hope to see you in the fall!
The Centering Prayer group meets on Tuesdays, at 6pm, in the Fireside Room. Centering prayer is a silent prayer. Similar to but different from meditation, it is clearing your mind, listening (instead of asking and praising) and consenting to the presence and activity of God in one’s life. It works to get one closer to God. Everyone experiences centering prayer in their own way. We also have a brief reading and discussion period before we begin our prayer time. Please come and join our small group..
