Pastor

     Pastor Brandon Austin graduated from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and has served as a United Methodist pastor for approximately 20 years. He served rural churches in Tennessee and was then recruited to the California-Nevada Conference in 1990. He served as associate pastor of the United Methodist Church-of-the-Wayfarer in Carmel for 2 years; pastor in the Lake County Cooperative Ministries: Kelseyville & Upper Lake for 6 years; North Sacramento UMC for 8 years and South Hayward UMC for 3 years. 

      Brandon brings enthusiasm to his ministry. He has extensive experience in leading conference youth church camp events. He has taught numerous studies in churches and college courses. He enjoys all types of music and plays the guitar. He is a Spiritual Director, Labyrinth Facilitator, Godly Play Teacher, and he supports Stephen Ministry. 

      Brandon has served in ministries to persons with special needs including grief support, abused persons, hospital chaplaincy, and homicide survivors. He is in the dissertation stage of his doctoral degree (Psy D) in clinical psychology.

     We will host a luncheon following our first worship service with Pastor Brandon on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Lunch will be provided after worship with hot dogs, salad, chips, drinks and dessert. Multiple small gatherings in individual homes for conversation, fellowship and an opportunity to meet Pastor Brandon will be announced in July.  Join us in welcoming Brandon to our church!

     Kim has lived in Manteca for six years. She is originally from Dallas, Texas and resided in Houston for 9 years prior to meeting her husband and moving to California. 

     Kim has over 23 years secretarial/administrative office experience in various office environments, predominantly in the medical and social service fields. She has also previously worked in a church office as well. 

     Kim has been married to her husband, Wayne, for six years. She has one stepson, Johnny, in high school, and three adult stepchildren, Jennifer and Stephanie, who both work in the Manteca area and Seth, who is in the Air Force currently stationed at Lakenheath Air Force Base in Suffolk, England. Kim’s pride and joy is her toddler grandson, Luke. 
 
 
 
 

Director of Music Ministries

 
 
 

 

 

 Anthony Dahl is Director of Music at St. Paul’s where he oversees the music program and directs the choirs. He is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music and holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree. While at Pacific he performed with both the top choral and instrumental groups and studied conducting with Dr. Eric Hammer and Dr. Ted Cetto.

 
For the past four years Anthony’s “day job” has been directing the band programs at Manteca High School and Lincoln Elementary School. Prior to coming to Manteca he taught band, choir, orchestra, and classroom music classes at the elementary and middle school levels in the Stockton area and in Sacramento County.
 
Anthony lives in Manteca with his wife Cara, who is also the Director of Music and Organist at Holy Cross UMC in Stockton, and their two children, Ryan and Kylie.

 

 

 

 

  

 


 

 

Organsit

 
 

     Darin Brown was born in Manteca and attended St. Paul's up

through high school. He was active in many music programs

during that time. With help from several St. Paul's scholarships,

he attended Stanislaus State in Turlock, graduating with a math

major and music minor. Darin finished his Ph.D. in Math at

UC Santa Barbara in 2004. He now teaches as an adjunct professor

at Delta Junior College in Stockton.
