St. Paul’s Ministry Staff

 Senior Pastor

The Reverend Judith Bither was born and raised in Northern California, graduated from Pacific School of Religion in 1975, was ordained in 1974 and has served churches in California, Alaska, Montana and Wyoming. She moved to Manteca in the summer of 2002 to serve St. Paul's.

Judith has served on two General Boards of the denomination (Global Ministries and Church & Society) and has completed the two-year Academy for Spiritual Formation through the Upper Room. Her passion for ministry is worship, ritual and spiritual formation. She has traveled to Taize' and is inspired by their community and worship music.

Judith has two young adult children, both world travelers who are still in and out of the home on their many adventures in education.

Minister of Children & Youth

Lisa Brown has served at St. Paul's  in this position since 1998.

A long time member of St. Paul's, Lisa volunteered with the children's programs for many years before being hired. She spent 18 years in the dental health profession in personnel and office management.

Lisa works with all ages, from preschool through young adults. She also assists the pastor in baptisms, confirmation classes, and general worship and program ministries. Lisa received her Certificate of Ministry Studies from the Pacific School of Religion. She is currently in the candidacy phase of becoming a licensed local pastor in the United Methodist Church.

Lisa is married to Kirk Brown, a science teacher and education consultant. They have two adult children.  Their son is attending Delta College and their daughter is coaching swimming and water polo for two high schools while substitute teaching.

Church Administrator

Linda Peters has served St. Paul's  for over 10 years.  Linda is married to Stuart Peters.  They have three sons.  Their youngest son is a senior at Manteca High School and the two oldest sons live in Valley Springs. 

Director of Music Ministries

Trudy Leachman is married to Ron.  They have 4 adult sons living in California, Texas and New Jersey.
